Welcome anew, or welcome back, to Rickmansworth Cricket club for 2025.
We now have the two nights for youngsters cricket:
On Fridays the Bar is always open for parents and we will be having special food events and other activities as the season carries on. Thanks for our sponsors PapaJi and Funky Elephant.
Senior Boys Club Night - Wednesdays
Year 1 and 2 children play with a soft ball called a Windball. They can wear what they like as long as it is weather appropriate. We provide all the equipment. They are in front of the clubhouse
Years 3, 4 and 5. These pupils play with a softer ball, called an incrediball or still use the windball. We also play fixtures against other local clubs for years 4 and 5. The Year 3's may get a chance to play in some of these. Again, so special equipment needed for softer ball cricket and the children can wear what they like.
GIRLS
We are really growing this group fast and have Girls only teams at Under9, Under 11 (incrediball), and U15 (hardball). The Girls Only sessions are from 6.15pm to 7.15pm and managed by Mark and Rowena.
Fees
Boys and Girls in Year 3 and below £70
Boys and Girls in Year 4/5 £100
Boys and Girls in Year 6 upwards £120 including a free private coaching lesson
A second or third sibling is just £60.
All fees this year will be collected through the club's new online membership system "MemberMojo": (Link). Once signed up you will have access to an electronic membership card which will enable you to access generous discounts at the bar and also with a number of our sponsorship partners.
If anyone wants to discuss applying to our hardship grant process, please let me know by way of a private and confidential message. We want everyone to play.
To apply to join please message the club (Paul Blackwell) via this website or text to 07793 294774.
IMPORTANT NOTES
We can provide all the equipment. All boys involved in hardball cricket must bring their own abdominal protector (known as a box) if they intend to take part in the games or the net sessions involving a hardball. Girls can too, but it is not mandatory on medical grounds.
All Children are welcome, boys and girls, to join the club, though there is a waiting list for the Junior School age children in 2025
Parents are welcome to stay at the club and watch, or help out if that's of interest. Your Children are safe with us.
If you need any help or advice on Cricket bats, equipment or clothing then please ask. I am here to help
